You may hear various cultural and historical tours in Dubai. However, what about nature tourism? Yes! The plan will be to develop tourism in the Hatta area, Dubai, to attract more tourists to visit. This development will provide an opportunity for you to experience natural tourism in the mountains of Dubai.
This development itself will be carried out by property developers from Dubai, Meraaas. They have announced a number of major projects aimed at encouraging the tourism sector in Hatta and increasing social and economic development. Even this development is in line with the direction of His Holiness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, and the Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates.
The plan is to develop the Hatta area including the 10-year Hatta Comprehensive Development Plan. Where Hatta, 130 km from the city center, can be accessed within 90 minutes. Here, you can see Dubai from a different perspective with views of mountains, lakes, troughs, farms and dams. To be sure, the air in this region is quite fresh.
Meraas itself has designed this project based on a strategic and construction plan that follows the highest global standards. The chosen building material merges with the surrounding natural environment without damaging or impacting the existing community and ecosystem. With this design, Hatta will become an ecotourism destination which is the main destination for development in the fourth quarter of this year.
His Excellency Abdulla Al Habbai, Group Chairman of Meraas, said that the development of ecotourism in Hatta was a commitment of Meraas to enhance the vision of a wise leadership by creating economic opportunities for young people, local businesses, and entrepreneurs in Hatta.
“Supporting and emphasizing the integrity of recreation, hospitality, tourism and transportation are the main keys to transforming a very popular destination into an international class that offers a diverse recreational experience for families,” His Excellency Abdulla Al Habbai, Group Chairman Meraas.
The first addition to Hatta’s tourism landscape is the giant letter ‘Hatta’ which is located at an altitude of about 450 meters in the Hajar Mountains. This position will provide the beauty of the city with its stunning background and represent the gateway to explore the area. The adventure center and interactive tourism information center will also be opened, to create further connections between visitors, tour guides and the Hatta community.
Other new projects that will be opened in the first phase of development include lodges that overlook mountains with beautiful views with 20 rooms, with a calm atmosphere and provide opportunities for tourists to relax. Visitors will also have the opportunity to camp in a unique place, with the concept of the first hotel trailers. This concept allows you to camp in the midst of beautiful mountains on the banks of the charming Hatta dam.
“The development is kept away from local residential areas to maintain the privacy and lifestyle of the Hatta people. The second phase of the project consists of a variety of additional hotel and retail developments arranged to create further links between local, regional and international tourists, and the rich Emirati culture that exists throughout the UAE, “added His Excellency Abdulla Al Habbai, Chairman of Meraas Group.
Existing and future projects will combine modern and sustainable materials, with unconventional designs that each have their own character and charm.
